Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve answered a few of the most common questions below.
Still unsure about something? Contact us — we’re here to help.
Do you offer free estimates? What does a service call cost?
Yes—we offer free estimates for new system installations and replacements.
For service or diagnostics, our technician will review your concern, perform a full system check, and discuss options with you before any work is done.
What’s included in a diagnostic/service visit?
Operational and safety checks (electrical, airflow, drain/condensate, refrigerant); clear findings and options before any repair; photos and a professional summary for your records.
How often should my system be serviced?
- Heat pump / dual‑fuel: twice per year
- AC + gas furnace: once per year
- Ductless mini‑split: annually
Filters: check monthly; replace as needed.
Do you offer maintenance plans?
Yes. Plans include scheduled tune‑ups, reminders, priority scheduling, and member pricing on repairs—great for keeping manufacturer warranties valid and extending equipment life.
Do you clean dryer vents? How often?
Yes—we clean and repair sidewall dryer vents for most homes. Recommended every 1–2 years depending on usage and run length. Roof access is case‑by‑case based on safety and roof type. We can replace caps/terminations if needed (priced separately).
What brands do you install?
We install American Standard (unitary) and Mitsubishi (ductless). We also service most major makes and models—ask if you’re unsure.
Why choose American Standard?
- Proven reliability with efficient, quiet operation
- Strong parts support and compatibility with modern controls
- Excellent performance for Pacific Northwest homes
Why choose Mitsubishi?
- High‑efficiency inverter technology with precise comfort
- Flexible ductless and ducted options for new or existing homes
- Whisper‑quiet indoor and outdoor operation
Do you work with R‑32 (A2L) equipment?
Yes. We install R‑32 (A2L) systems and include required mitigation: a leak sensor and controller that can safely shut the system down and alert you. We design and test to manufacturer specs and Washington State code.
How long does a typical installation take?
Most straight replacements finish in a day. Larger projects (new ductwork, zoning, multi‑zone) can take 2–3 days. We’ll provide a clear schedule with your proposal.
Do I need to be home during service?
Not required. Key box or lock code is fine. We’ll call with findings and send photos for your records.
Do you offer financing?
Yes—simple online options are available for qualifying projects.
What warranties do you provide?
Up to 10 years parts with manufacturer registration; labor coverage per your quote & invoice. See our detailed policy.
What areas do you serve?
Greater Seattle / North King & South Snohomish. See our Service Area page for details.
Do you pull permits?
Yes—we pull refrigeration and mechanical permits and coordinate inspections with your local jurisdiction.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
- Clear access to furnace/air handler, thermostat, electrical panel, and outdoor unit
- Secure pets and ensure vehicles aren’t blocking equipment
- Have your filter size or last replacement date handy if you know it
Do you offer after‑hours service?
Limited after‑hours support during peak seasons. If you have no heat or no cooling, book the earliest available slot and call or text us; we’ll triage and prioritize emergencies.
